So today the covid modelling initiative went nuts, with everyone having to put pseudo out-of-office notices to cope with email demands. I went our for an hours run at lunchtime across Blackford, Braids, Mortonhall, forgetting that an hour's run now takes 80 mins
Out via Temple to Gladhouse - hadn't done the loop this way before, and duly put in an extra loop before getting there. Came flying back on the empty A road through Lasswade, then swung around Danderhall cycle path because its there. Got "social distanced" by four other cyclists. Generally pretty agreeable use of once out of the house for exercise.
Similar to yesterday, with Jane. Much warmer and less windy! Coast route to Longniddrie, including musselburgh/levenhall cycle path (only carparks are blocked). Back via Dalkeith (park is really locked down).
Disappointing effort, Dalkeith, headed east planning the "Coast" ride, but only got to Tranent before fading, back to Port Seton and home. Dalkeith Park and Levenhall Links locked up: new covid strategy of forcing people into the same limited areas seems to be working :(
