Parkrun, in Hokas cold and fading towards the end, passed by Joyce on the sprint

Dalkeith and Musselburgh with Jane. Cold enough, and just enough wind to be unpleasant cycle, c/f not cold enough or windy enough to be a problem running.

Lap of the braids andfrogstane with Jane in the evening. Seemed like a good idea at the time. May not have been. Feeling broken by POM, but nothing specific except a hole in the foot, so hopefully some easy days to recover will reset things.

Recovery day. Foot slowly healing up, still hobbling a bit. Systemically still very tired, but no further crash. About 4 miles of walking around on beaches en route to Lisbon.

Pom day 4

Rt. Foot very sore in the warm up, hopefully because I had nothing to think about except how sore is the foot. But, niggling away from the off and concentration v poor. The first four all popped up as hoped, but felt a bit uncertain each time. 5 was obviously the hardest leg on the course so went straight through a mass of rock and stripe which obscured the contours. -3. Ok till approaching 10, then wheels came off completely, head spin, sit down get up a bit wobbly then walk back to the finish. So confused I went past 11 instead of straight home, so was a bit rude not to punch the last 2. Very wobbly post race on tourusting.

Orienteering race 38:02 [3]

POM 3 middle

Quite an exercise wedging a swollen foot in a shoe and walking 2.4 km to the start. Sore as anything, but the man said go and off I went.

Properly stupid 3.5 min error at 8. Got halfway there, saw the kite, thought it too obvious and ran away distracted by an unmarked track. High level of idiocy there. Some cautious route choices and ponderous fence crossing slowed things down too.
