Mountain Biking 1:45:00 [3]
With Phatty from Bash and Bent's place through Palgrave and then down into Albion to do the O-Cup course for tomorrow - fun course. Lots of super duper riders out. One was kind enough to help Phatty with his gears.....his are fine now but mine need some work, might be time to get back to the dentist!!! Off to help out with Storm the Trent tomorrow, should be fun!
C • Glad other people got to enjoy our place! 3

Mountain Biking 50:00 [2]
Warm-up ride up to Bash and Bent's through Albion Hills so that I could leave my bike there and run back down on the trails.
Trail Running 2:10:00 [2]
A nice easy pace along the trails and sideroads home from Bash and Bent's. Great day for a run and I was feeling pretty strong. Ran with a pack on too so I had my water and food and didn't have to worry about dehydrating myself again....should be running with a pack all of the time anyway....

Wednesday May 9

Mountain Biking 2:00:00 [3]
Headed up to Albion for some singletrack fun....trails are in great shape but I kept getting turned around because they are changing the direction of some of the trails and have added fun new rocky sections and log piles. Perfect weather and the gears just seem a little off. I couldn't quite pinpoint why (big surprise there). I think Bent and I agreed we are going to make Wednesday mornings a weekly ride but I thought I would let him get his handlebars fixed first....

I felt strong on the hills which I am happy about because sometimes I worry about my power....

Tuesday May 8

Trail Running 1:45:00 [2]
A lower intensity but extremely painful run along the HVT. I was missing my Tuesday partner Bash as she is fighting a cold and trying to get rid of it before Storm the Trent this weekend. I had also only had a coffee in the morning, no water, a large lunch and then decided to go for a long run. I have never been so dehydrated in my life. I kept looking at the Humber river and almost couldn't resist sticking my face in there for a few gulps - I said almost!

A few beavers have been busy on the trail just west of Duffy's lane as there are several new large trees down across the trail.

I barely made it home, gulped down about 4 large glasses of water and orange juice - knowing it wasn't a good idea but I couldn't help myself - and then promptly ran to the bathroom to throw it up and had to start all over again with smaller sips this time.......ugghgh. It was warm out too and I am starting to remember what it is like running in the summer!!!
C • Sorry I had to miss it 4

Trekking 40:00 [2]
Following a couple of highschool teams through the bush on their trek to make sure they were headed in the right direction. They were so much fun to follow and listen to.

Followed T-dot back from the river to CP3 through heinous deadfall and thick bush. We complained the whole way and decided it's only fun when you are racing!
