Trail Running 2:00:00 [3]

Along the HVT by myself. I felt drained from the cold I am fighting but the day was so nice.

Mountain Biking 2:15:00 [3]

With Phatts around the Caledon Hills. Lovely day to be out for a ride and a treat to have him home on a Friday afternoon.

Trail Running 30:00 [4]

Had to push it to make it to the Caledon Navigators "walk the line" training session put on by Goose. I managed to pick up Slice's cold and it was a struggle to keep the legs moving (not sure how she went so fast in the GRR - I was exhausted).

Orienteering 1:20:00 [2]

I don't know the exact time but Goose and N St.Croix put on a great training exercise for us. I walked this one trying to pay attention to the topography and being exact. Didn't work all of the time and the highlights were trying to sneak by controls and not letting Bash know that I had seen one, Scooby coming in several minutes after everyone else COVERED in a thick layer of clay/slime with a balled up muddy map almost shoeless, and finally me giving pointers to Rocky near the end giving detailed descriptions of what I was looking for and then realizing that I was in the wrong place and having to tell her to ignore everything I had said in the past 10 miinutes. Great night followed up with beer and food at the pub. The highschool students were also out and did quite well - they should be a force to be reckoned with once again at this year's highschool adventure race.

Road Riding 1:56:00 [3]

Started out with Coach LD on the country roads on the MTB. When she headed to school I kept going north through Albion and then west on some more country roads before heading home. What a beautiful day! It really warmed up while I was out there and the big winter mitts seemed like a bit of overkill as things warmed up. I tried to keep the shifting to a minimum on the uphills and boy could I really feel the legs burning!

Paddling 1:15:00 [1]

Super fun trip down the Humber River with Goose and Slice. Goose was in his kayak and Slice and I in the banana boat (our canoe). The water levels were great and we saw some deer, a kingfisher, but no beavers. We also saw our Wednesday night running group heading up the trail (Slice will post some pics).

Trail Running 30:00 [2]

Goose, Slice and I then TA'd on Goose's front lawn and had an easy run back up the HVT to our cars. We tried to scare Scooby, Rocky, and Wayne but failed miserably. Great night out for some adventure.

Trail Running 1:04:00 [2]

Bash and I are back on the HVT!!! and it was a great run. The temp was perfect and there are only a couple of tiny spots of ice on the trail still. Feels good to be on the trail and I spotted a red tail hawk way up in a tree.

Mountain Biking 1:59:00 [2]

Out with Slice and Phatts Jr. on the roads for a ride to get some time on the bike and to work out some of yesterday's efforts. The sun was out and so was the wind so we just hid behind Phatts Jr. when things got ugly. Slice was having some bike issues (squeaky rubbing brakes) so we stopped so she could regain her sanity (which I totally understand since I CANNOT STAND repetitive annoying noises). Nice day to be out and then I was off to watch and film Phatty Jr.'s Tour D'Afrique presentation at Running Free. Great presentation and lots of interested folks. Running Free was also super generous and handed out freebies to everyone there, including a running jacket and lots of socks.
