Classic skiing 2:30:00 [3]

Back to the Callaghan for some more incredible skiing. I only wore a light long sleeve and was toasty! Great day - man I could get used to skiing there.

Had to pick up the pace today since we were skiing with all of the whose who of Salomon! Fun day with lots more sunshine. Legs were toast by the end of it.

Ugggh I was feeling really tired today but not to complain. We were skiing in the Callaghan Valley after doing a Salomon ski demo. Absolutely bluebird day out and the trails are amazing! Some pics to post of the suns rays peering through the trees. Lovely!

alpine skiing 6:00:00 [1]

Phatty and I hit the slopes fairly early and managed to get quite a bit of skiing in. It was balmy up on the mountain - we were overdressed! I now officially ski like my mom - slow! Just not comfortable ripping down the hill like I used to. I'm okay with that though. What a day - beauty. We only stopped for a quick banana bread to refuel. Thigh burner of a workout, especially when you don't stop on the way down.

Oh boy, today was tough. I had a pretty good size blister on my left heel that I tried to cover up but it was still bothering me a bit. Also something going on with my rip hip flexor/adductor- I lose strength in it for some reason. Okay now I am officially worried about the ski marathon! I was bagged today and I know Horseshoe is a hilly ski area but how am I going to last for 9 or 10 hours a day? I guess I have this week in Whistler where we should get out 2 or 3 times and then one or two more weekends after that to get prepped......yikes! We were beat at the end of today.
