Some solid training out on lake Rosseau but I can't quite give it a number since it was ski boat driver training. I will be driving a massive wakeboarding boat this summer for two weeks teaching kids how to ski/wakeboard. Beauty weekend out on the lake and I CAN'T BELIEVE THE SIZE OF THOSE COTTAGES!!! The funny thing was there was barely any boat traffic on a great weekend....mmmmm
The lake was freezing although I have to admit I didn't go in. I managed to avoid waterskiing for fear of getting injured before the Untamed race. After Tarno's injury and a couple of patients I saw last summer with torn hammies I just couldn't do it.
Beauty day for a ride from B-Town to Orillia. My legs felt great the whole way but my arse was sore from the heavy pack (with all of my stuff for the weekend) I was carrying. Just a couple of jackasses on the road but not many and I think I picked a pretty good route. Ended up being 113km from door to door. I rode my mountain bike because I just feel more comfortable on it.
Now I have to do the same thing on Sunday.....mmmm maybe I will pick a different route to keep it interesting.
Along the HVT.....even stopped to do some push-ups on the bridge....saw slowrunner on the way out. Legs felt pooped from yesterday's hilly ride. Hope they recover for tonight's MTBing at Albion and my ride up to Orillia tomorrow. Not sure how I am going to waterski in Muskoka on Saturday!
Nice ride this morning before Bash came over to review our photos from our day out a couple of weeks ago. I went east to start and hit some big hills to get the blood pumping. Legs felt okay but knees were a little sore - uh oh. I know this is from not stretching and doing yoga though so time to step it up.
Had a great time reviewing photos with Bash and we had some similar ideas. We also had fun playing with some photoshop tools after...soooo much to learn!
On the HVT with slowrunner and Bash.....did some great strength training moves at the base of the 82 steps....4 reps (only because slowrunner miscalculated and thought we did 5) and Bash and I didn't say a word even though we knew it was only 4 (slackers). Push-up, dips, jump-ups, squat-jumps and then up the 82 steps x4. Way more fun? with other people there.
Out for a run while Phatty inline-skated beside me. We went for a walk after we were getting cabin fever inside while we watched it rain out. When we got back from that I felt I had enough energy to muster up a run. Funny how I felt great running and could push it a little bit which I usually feel I can't do. I can't figure out why I usually feel so crappy running. I have a hard time breathing and subsequently feel like I have no juice in my legs. Mmmmm if anyone has any ideas just let me know.
