Mountain Biking 1:33:00 [3]

Got out for a spin this afternoon. The lungs feel a little raw but hopefully I am on the mend. My Dad is thinking I had viral meningitis from the symptoms I was describing......mmmmm nothing like a little meningitis before a big race!

Note

Hoped to have more to put down this week but I feel like I am dying a slow death at home. I think it's just a cold since I don't have a fever but when it hurts to move your eyeballs and touch your skin it's pretty miserable. Better now than any later though! Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Oh and I just found out from a friend who is also going to the Worlds in Portugal that our team that went to Prince Rupert 2 years ago to Xtreme is pictured under the definition of "adventure racing" on Wikipedia.....how cool is that?

Note

sick - coughing up phlegm (still yellow though) and a massive headache. Here's to hoping it's not H1N1

In line skating 1:10:00 [2]

Out with Goose and STORM for some in-line training. I felt progressively worse over the day but getting out in the fresh air was nice. STORM picked up Goose's tips quickly so I think it was worth it for him to come up....that and the yummy post skate dinner we had courtesy of CoachLD (once again!). Home to bed.

Paddling 1:00:00 [3]

Got to Orillia after a CRAZY weekend at camp. I can feel my throat getting sore and I have a headache but this didn't start until the craziness of the weekend was over. Too much fun I think. The weather was beautiful though and I got back in time for a wonderful paddle around Big Chief Island. I did stop in the calm of one of the bays to just sit and listen.....sometimes I forget to do this, especially if I am training. What a moment. No boats on the lake since the summer is over and the peace and quiet was welcome.

Paddling 20:00 [4]

Ramped it up for the crossing from the Island to home so I wasn't late for dinner. I could have stayed out there all night!
