Orienteering 20:00 [4]

This was how far I got in before I rolled my ankle and heard a pop. I have never heard that before when I have gone over on my ankle so I decided to hobble off of the course. Bummer since it was a fun course but I was in the middle of a big mistake. I had a great run on the speedcross the other day but it doesn't look like they will cut it for orienteering. I knew it as soon as I stepped into the woods too. The crummy part is that I love how light they are and the traction they have but I think I'll wait for the Salomon orienteering shoe before I change from my XA pros.

Ankle is swollen but not bruised so I think the pop was just a joint cavitation thankfully.

Mountain Biking 1:40:00 [1]

Out with CoachLD and Gosling (and Goose and Phatty for some of it) around Caledon to the Trailside cafe and then back on the railtrail. Nice to get out after a disappointing morning.

Trail Running 2:35:00 [3]

Awesome trail run in my new Salomon Speedcross. I looooove them!!!! So light and wicked traction on the muddy spring trails. I laughed an evil laugh when I saw the slip marks from other less fortunate trail runners who clearly don't have the Speedcross. Okay I got a little cocky at one point in a really slick spot but I didn't go down.

Felt great the entire run....now there is something new. My secret is to power up before the run with Crash's Hemp Energy Bread.....delicious!

Mountain Biking 2:05:00 [3]

I love the fact that I can take advantage of the good weather and get out for a ride in the morning. It was spectacular out and I snuck into Albion on my way home but stayed off of the single track to let it dry out. The Pythons were slipping all over the place on the wet leaves. They must be filming a movie in there as I came across a bunch of vans and a hunting vest attached to a wire.....looks like a horror flick to me.

Mountain Biking 1:45:00 [3]

I finally put my bike back together after Ecuador and got out on it for a great ride. A little different than Friday when I was in a t-shirt and shorts. I had to pull out the booties again.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [4]

Don't know the exact time but it was a combo of three races for the Thomass Eliminator. Great day out in Palgrave! Very fun course.....I'll have to go and do it again, maybe in reverse. This was the first time I have used my handicap in a Thomass and I needed it....still not enough to beat Bash in the end. I managed a 1st in the first race, and 2nd in the second and fourth in the final race.

Note

Downloaded and watched "New Moon" with Gosling.....I now have a renewed passion for the Twilight series....June 30th Eclipse comes out and I am going to the theatre for this one....
