Training Log Archive: Leanimal

Some more snow fell here in Otown so it was slippery going on the roads and railtrail. Started out feeling okay and then felt like a snail on the home stretch. Nice and brisk out. Hopefully the temps rise a bit so I can take Weeanimal out again.

Great day out on the trails with Hansel and CK. I was able to pump enough milk to leave Weeanimal with my Aunt for 3 hours and not be afraid that she was going to starve. I actually felt pretty good on the skis but my cardiovascular fitness leaves something to be desired. The smallest hills felt like mountains. So good to be out though and I have to thank Phatty for waxing my skis when I didn't have the time.

Might try out the classics on the lake tomorrow while Mari is being hoarded by her Grandma.

I'll put trail running even though I was on road and sidewalks since they were so covered in snow it was like I was on trail. I took Weeanimal out for her first ride in the Chariot. It was awesome! Of course it is different running with your hands on a bar but I'll get used to it. It was a bumpy ride for her but she either liked it or had a concussion because I didn't hear a peep. I had to check a couple of times but she was cozy in her warm sleeping bag that Ursula got for her.

I am so excited to have the Chariot sorted so I don't have to worry about waiting until Phatty gets home to go for a run.

Coach Troy timesaver workout - I was going to do 2 of them but the Queen woke up - she slept on our hike with Bash but has been a bear the rest of the day! Can't wait until the jogging attachment comes for the chariot tonight!

With Bash and Weeanimal on the HVT! Too bad the rain is washing away our snow since it looks like I am going to get out for some skiing on Thursday with CK and Hansel.

A great run on the HVT in the brilliant sunshine today. I actually felt like I was running (still very slowly). I came home to find a very tired Phatty (21 hours of travel yesterday) cuddled up with Weeanimal in front of the fire napping. Funny how Phatty is sleeping in the fetal position while Weeanimal has discovered her freedom to move and likes to sleep with both arms over her head.
