Training Log Archive: Leanimal

Really brutal run with Phatty in London. I got a chest cold a couple of days ago and its really sinking in now. Of course I didn't want to miss the opportunity for a run while Nana looked after Weeanimal. Felt like crap and the snow was up to my knees in spots....beautiful day though.

Weeanimal road run again - managed to make it up Glasgow Hill with her again albeit slowly. Head wind at the top.....this road running could get old pretty quickly.

Another run with Weeanimal. She was pissed when I woke her up to get her dressed to go running but she quickly fell back asleep once she was in her Chariot. I am trying to be concious of running with only once hand on the bar or just pushing it ahead. I got an e-mail from a friend of mine who is an avid triathlete and she actually gave herself a stress fracture of the ilium from running with the stroller too much. She always had two hands on the bar and she was running A LOT with the stroller. It is a really strange injury and it took a while to diagnose but she was 9 months recovering so she was just giving me a heads up. I don't think I will be running nearly as much as she did with the stroller but it's good to know.

Chillier run today with Weeanimal. Short runs right now according to a schedule I found online for training for a 50km. I will be switching out some runs for skis or rides but I will try to get all of the long ones in.

Out for a power walk with Weeanimal. Now she is sitting in the front hall, still strapped in, snoozing away.....gotta love that Chariot.

Great snowshoe run at Scouts Valley in Orillia with Phatty while Weeanimal hung out with Gram & Gramps. First time in a long time Phatty and I have trained together. It was fun!
