Road Running 1:20:00 [3]

Ran a 16km loop outside of Bolton with Goose. Looked like a pretty crappy day out but the temperature was just right for running. It was great to have the company and the lower abdomen didn't feel too bad until closer to the end.

Strength training 30:00 [2]

Went through as many Redcord exercises as I could while Weeanimal had a short nap. Some of the exercises are so tough , it's embarrassing how few reps I can do.

Road Running 1:05:00 [3]

With Weeanimal around town. I had to walk up one icy, bumpy hill but didn't hear a peep out of Weeanimal so it must not have woken her up. Legs felt pretty good surprisingly since I did some leg stuff today and the other day on the Redcord. Adductors and lower abdomen still tight but I have a feeling yoga and the strengthening will have a positive effect on this weakness.

Note

Nice little stroll through the HVT with Bash and Weeanimal. We had to go off trail because Weeanimal insisted. Well actually the trail was slick with ice so it was the safe decision. Bash was also willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of Weeanimal as she tested the river crossing first. What a thoughtful Aunt. Our spoiled little daughter also got a nice pair of sheep slippers straight from New Zealand and a sweet pair of Patagonia swim trunks for the summer.....THANKS BASH!

Managed to get in a self guided session while Weeanimal had a short nap.

Core work before Weeanimal insisted on being held. She was a tad needy today.

Another redcord/ball session while Weeanimal watched. Sore from yesterday and some of the exercises are going to have to wait a while until my lower abdominal fascia feels better. Lots of core needed in other words. I love this system though and it is also used to identify weaknesses in functional trains in the body. I would love to see how they use the system to assess people. Of course that involves an expensive weekend course but it may be worth it in the future.

I had to get out for a short run. Maybe not the best idea but if I am never going to get better then I am going to run anyway....good logic, I know.

Strength training 20:00 [2]

Tried out the Redcord system that I got Phatty as an early birthday present (I never cease to find a gift that also gives back). It's tough to do the exercises but I am obviously starting from a very modified position. It will be interesting to see progression over the next few months.

I still feel like shit so I didn't do anything else today AGAIN!!!! I am about to crawl out of my skin. It's amazing how closely linked my mood is with whether or not I am able to exercise. How do people even exist without doing any activity? As soon as I even did as much as 20 minutes of strength I felt better.

I could log the time I spent dancing to Lady Gaga in the kitchen just to keep Weeanimal entertained while I tried to make dinner but I won't. It worked like a charm, she was smiling away. Probably the only person who will smile while I dance and sing.
