Road Riding 1:30:00 [3]

KD offered to watch Weeanimal for a couple of hours so I took advantage and made the best out of this crappy winter day. No snow, icy trails, and the fact that I have to get back on the bike meant I opened the garage and decided to move some things aside to try to find it. Yup, just where I left it - covered in dry mud after a ride with Scotty last December. Yikes. I brushed some of the mud off of the drive train, threw some lube on, stole Phatty's front wheel (the valve broke off my tube while I was trying to inflate it) and was off. I had some extra resistance training in the beginning while both brakes rubbed and then all was good. The legs finally came around and it felt great to be on the bike.

I did manage to confirm my suspicion that it is not that easy to ride on sheer ice. Coming home through the park I thought I might be able to just glide across about 60ft of ice. NOPE. Down in a blaze of glory. Luckily no-one was around to see. Obviously everyone else is smarter than I am and are staying away from the ice rink path.

Road Running 1:15:00 [3]

I'll call this one "Hills and Headwind". Picked a hilly route around B-town with Weeanimal leading the charge. I was glad for the wrist strap on the Chariot when I had to descend an extremely icy pathway. Managed to stay upright and not lose my daughter. Arrived at the Doughty's just in time to head to Caruso's for lunch!

Yoga 1:00:00 [1]

Awesome yin class.

Classic skiing 20:00 [1]

Beautiful ski around the park with Weeanimal. Temps were perfect for the waxless skis and Weeanimal loved it. I was sweating quite a bit.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [4]

I have no idea what my time was, I am just guessing here. THOMASS Caledon race. I don't take my old lady handicap so I am getting all of the controls, which means I usually get dusted. Bad start to the race thinking that I had to go to CP1 before the box. This took me off course, and when I regrouped I made a poor route choice to the first control in the box. Some other bobbles along the way due to lack of practice so it reminds me how much more I have to get out there orienteering. Spent the entire course with Gally. We took different routes sometimes and it was nice to have him there telling me to push hard uphill to the finish when all I really wanted to tdo was walk. Great day and awesome food at the finish as always.

Orienteering 30:00 [2]

Picking up controls. It was nice to go slowly, watch the map and vegetation and contours to see where I could have made better choices. Painfully obvious the second time around.
