Cold but nice run on the trails around the 8th. Hands were icy and my left ankle started to complain near the end but for the most part the trails were great for running. At least the sun was out. Had to get home to take Weeanimal to the winter carnival downtown.
Weeanimal fell asleep half way through this one so I took advantage and kept going with no guilt. Getting a bit bored of the streets of Bolton I must say. Gorgeous day out. I can hardly believe it's mid Feb. Sad really.
Yoga1:00:00 [1]
Another great class with a new teacher. I think this was more of an intro flow class so there was a lot of instruction which was great. It meant holding the postures longer and really working on proper technique. Killer ab work. I am really noticing the difference in how my back feels and how my running gait feels less restricted when I do yoga. Of course I knew all of this before but now there is a studio at the top of the hill....
Had to do Rodney Yee's power yoga at home since it is 9:30pm and Phatty is still at work. I thought I would have a chance for a run tonight too but no such luck. I guess I will have to drag Weeanimal out again tomorrow. She is great in the chariot but I feel badly for her, I think she gets bored.
Got up at camp at 6am to head out for a run with Melissa. It was a great morning and we got some hills in since there is really no choice with where the camp is located. Great way to start the day.

A pretty mellow snowshoe through the woods at camp with a group of 13.

This was pretty unconventional but it was HARD work. My Dad can't get down the path at their house since it is like a skating rink. I stopped there on my way home from camp and proceeded to chop through inches of ice with an edger. I could hardly use my hands afterward and my arms and upper back are sufficiently sore.
