Mountain Biking 2:30:00 [3]

An unbelievable morning of mountain biking in the Semnoz with one of Phatty's colleagues who works for Mavic. I think he was particularly impressed with the duct tape job on my broken spokes that have not been repaired since Scotland.

I have been battling a chest cold so was prepared to be left behind but the boys were kind enough to wait and I am glad because the trails that Sebastian showed us were great. A long climb up and then some fun fast, rocky, trails and a nice bumpy downhill. It was such a treat to have a great rider out front, it forces you to go faster. Of course it sounded like my bike was going to fall apart but it managed to hold.

So glad we got out for this ride and now I know what trails to go on when I go back. It was about 20 degrees and sunny today too so that helps.

Trail Running 2:10:00 [3]

Despite hacking up phlegm I had to get out on this glorious day. Weeanimal was at the crèche and I didn't have to get Phatty's Mom from the Geneva airport until the afternoon so I headed up the Veryier on some new trails. More awesome trails but I was more of a wimp on the downhill today.

Trail Running 1:00:00 [3]

A beautiful crisp day that I was able to take advantage of since my parents are still here. They were supposed to leave today but my Dad has landed himself in the hospital with a sever lung infection/pneumonia so they have postponed their return trip until next Monday. We went to see him yesterday and he is MUCH better so the antibiotics must be working. At least I know now what to expect if I ever (knock on wood) have to go to the hospital. Talk about top notch. Fast service (au contraire to the food industry here), very friendly people and of course the docs speak perfect English so that made the situation a bit less stressful. Anyway he is on the mend and my Mom is enjoying more time with Weeanimal.

A bit slippery on the trails since there was frost this morning. Even a light dusting on the mountains higher up but the sun is shining which is nice since it's been a bit dreary here lately.

Legs felt great but I can feel the beginning of a chest cold so I am going to try to fight it with Oil of Oregano and tea.....fingers crossed.
