Core Conditioning 47:00 [4]

MAX cardio training with ShawnT while Weeanimal slept and the sun shines brilliantly outside.

Weeanimal and I had a great morning up at Col de la Forclaz watching the parapentes and having a crepe lunch. I was jealous of the riders we passed while driving up but am not as brave as one couple that I saw who had their chariot tow rigged up while riding up. I just couldn't do it even though all of the drivers are very courteous around here. Not worth it in my opinion.

Road Running 10:00 [1]

Probably a total of 10 minutes of running over 3 hours. Phatty volunteered me as a "model" for a photo shoot for Salomon in the vieille Ville for City Trail. They were hoping for darkness and rain. After a month of rain we were only lucky enough to have darkness since we were doing it from 9pm-midnight. It was a lot of fun moving around to different locations in the old town and running hill, stair, bridge repeats while getting photos taken. Great group of people and a fun experience. Highlight was meeting Anna Frost right before we started. I introduced myself but was too shy to ask for a photo! The photographer took one of the group of us with his iphone so maybe I can get a hold of that.

Trail Running 2:20:00 [3]

Beautiful sunny day so I took advantage and headed up to Mont Baron after dropping Weeanimal (who has given new meaning to the terrible twos as of late in my opinion) at the crèche. Various routes up and then down the front on the way back. My last low back was twinning on the way up on the steep stuff so I stopped at Mont Baron and stretched for a while. Felt better going down.

I also came up behind a Mom and her 7 or 8 year old daughter as they were running down. The young girl saw me coming and yelled "vite Maman" and picked up the pace. It was ON! She even waited for me at one point and then demonstrated her desire to race by picking up the pace again. We had a good little battle until she tripped on a rock...Suckah! Okay I did stop to ask if she was okay and she was laughing....loved her spirit, I hope Weeanimal will be running with me at that age, or at least waiting for me.

Road Riding 2:00:00 [3]

Another great ride up to Col de Leschaux again except this time I was joined by Mme Lafarie. Great temps with some sun. We climbed the route that the Tour will take and it was fun to see some yellow painted bikes adorning the sides of some houses. Nice steady climb up but a bit steeper than the route I took yesterday. We came down the way I went up and it was some nice fast descending. At least I thought I was going fast until a guy went by me going about twice the speed.

Road Riding 2:00:00 [3]

Great ride up to Col de Leschaux and back. Took a while to get through town and get going but there weren't many cars but quite a few cyclists heading up and down from the Col. Got in a nice steady rhythm for the climb and managed to only get passed by one rider who blew by me like I was standing still in head to tow Mavic gear. Cool on the way down, weaved my way through the throngs of people who were as happy to see the sun as I was, and then met up with Phatty and Weeanimal at the park. Great ride.
