Frango Valley.

Well I was aiming for a 3 hour run but couldn't resist dropping off the ridge line to the last village in Corsica that is only accessible by foot or boat. It was a stunning run up a valley, across a ridge line and then down a ridge to the village of Girolata, where I bought a coke, an orange and a croissant. Then I took a few pics and headed back up the ridge. Half way up I realized that I forgot to fill my bladder again. Woops. Oh well on I went. I took a new route back and got some spectacular views down the coast and over to the reserve naturelle de scandola. Stunning red cliffs in the sea. I was certainly bagged by the time I got back and now Phatty is headed up where I descended so he can check out the views from the top. Pics are trying to upload now.

Aimed for the tour de mont ??? From our very cute accommodations in Pigna, just up into the mountains from L'ile Rousse. I forgot to take a photo of the map (rookie mistake) so I got a little off track but it was still a great run by an old convent, over a col, and then down through a couple of villages. Once I was off track I called Phatts and him and Weeanimal came to meet me in L'ile Rousse for a $30 dinner for two very small salads. Ugh. A had another run around in the sand and surf before coming back to our village in the mountains. This destination has to make it on everyone's list. It is incredible here.

Awesome coastal run on the littoral trail from plage de l'Ostriconi north. Hot off the coast since it is the desert but it was gorgeous. Great views north.

Well we are in beautiful Corsica right now for a full two weeks. After luckily getting on the ferry without a passport for Weeanimal (it's still at the Canadian Embassy getting renewed) we slept overnight in the bunks and are now enjoying some spectacular scenery. We have a combination of hotels and camping planned with a very flexible schedule. Weeanimal and I had a nap this afternoon since I did not sleep very well on the ferry and then when Phatty got back from his ride and we finished a successful Easter egg hunt we went over to a lookout point in Desert des Agriates and I went for a run down a nice technical 4x4 road while Phatty and Weeanimal did their own run. We are increasingly impressed with her technical running ability, especially on the downhills. Epic views toward the sea and some dark clouds in the distance made for a nice run. I turned around when I bumped into (not literally thankfully) a cow (with horns) who was in my way and not moving. I'm not good with big animals. We returned to a yummy pasta meal and I think it will be an early bedtime for us, well at least Phatty and I anyway.
