Out and back run down the west side of the Thames towards Cholesy

Over the last couple of days I've really hammered massage/rolling (with golf ball) my big toe and the area around the 'knuckle' this resulted in really loosening everything up and foot working much better. Subsequently everything felt much better running today. No problems further up around the knee.

Lunchtime run up the ridgeway. Again had some knee niggles around 15-20mins which after a stop and stretch eased. Right lower calf really sore afterwards. Worst its been in a while. So is my toe.

Similar pattern to last month where I had a 8-10day break from running and then had problems coming back. Think that my toe stiffens up when inactive and then forces me to run on the outside of the foot leading to the other problems... Might try taping heel again.
