orienteering 15:00 [3]

control picking in complex contour terrain on barrier lake map. Karen put on an awesome training event. Really enjoyed it.

orienteering 47:00 [1] 2.5 km (18:48 / km)

Went with Gavan on course 2. Most of it was not too too hard, but Gavan had to learn to look ahead and plan a bit, as he wasn't going to bump into the controls. One leg was quite technical and aiming-off took some explaining. I'm not sure that he really got it, but then he's got another 6 years on course 1!

Put out some of the controls. Needed some careful map reading. Thankfully there were ribbons.

Checking out the Fish Creek map (west end) for flood damage. Kitty and I divided the task and it wasn't too bad. Mostly just the river edge was affected.

Some aerobic (hills), anaerobic running and bounding (hills) and agility and stretching. Couldn't do the lunges up hill as got muscle cramps in inner thigh and decided it must be due to yesterday's swimming.

Ran with Eileen - Canmore Park to top of Nose Hill and down past Winter Club and back. Nose Hill just about killed me, but at least it was downhill all the way back.

Warm-up, some 100m, strokes and drills. Fr intervals decreasing distance, increasing speed, cool down.

Some 50m intervals, dolphin drills, other fun drills. Didn't quite finish up, as the dolphin took so long! Good core work.
