Warm-up

x-c skiing (skate) 1:45:00 [4] 17.8 km (5:54 / km)

Huckleberry Loppet. -18C at 9am. Don't think it warmed up for the race. Course changed to 4x4km loop. With big climb first part of loop. Glad to have completed it.

x-c skiing (Classic) 1:42:04 [4] 15.0 km (6:48 / km)

Huckleberry Loppet. No grip for 10 km. Needed 2 sets of skis today or skin skis. Lots of people had same problem. Lots of running herringbone and herringbone. Could do a regular run on very slight inclines. Got lapped in my last km by 30km leader. Back is really sore. It was a real character builder.

Lake Louise. Much fresh wet powder. -2C. From main parking down tramline and up MLR a little way. Skating in 10cm new snow. Then back again. Managed to classic up tramline on Ewan’s skate skis. Actually pretty fast. Glide was excellent! Guessed time and distance.

snow clearing 30:00 [2]

Ice scraping. The boys say it wasn't very long but I feel like it was VERY long, so I am totally guessing 30 mins.

x-c skiing (classic) 4:00:00 [3] 25.5 km (9:25 / km)

Cascade with Marsha. Great ski. Legs feet and toes are all talking to me. Didn't quite get to the Warden Cabin. Tracks were a tad wobbly but plenty good enough. First part had new snow over a somewhat icy base. Iciness disappeared soon after the bridge. Tracks were softer.

Walk/run 30:00 [1] 2.5 km (12:00 / km)

Dalhousie
