Tour de Ridges half marathon. course changed a bit again since I last ran it, some solid climbs and nice xc tracks. felt a lot tougher than the Honeysuckle creek half mara, even though I did a quicker time and less climb.
early start, bit late, only instant coffee and a slice of toast for brekky.
started very conservative, steadily got into a good mood through the first 5k, ticking off a few blokes. On the way up Mt. Wanniassa I started to drop 5th place guy and got a good look at 3rd place guy, and eventually was with him, and starting to get a good look at Jules and Alex up ahead. down the other side of Wanniassa, a long downhill stretch started to think I could drop 3rd place guy, and did when we hit the steady uphill towards Isaacs ridge, still watch Alex and Jules battling out front. Here they really started to disappear while my legs seized up on the climbs but I had a good speed on the flat. was looking at my watch every 500m, saying to myself "only 6k to go, only 5.5k to go" and checking over my shoulder, but was on my own.
Fairly sore, but fairly pleased.

2-middle courses at Glendale, which has become our "two-weeks out" training map. I got a bit of flow eventually, so that's a plus. nothing speccy.

went on a jog to find some kangaroos with Stefan and Mani from Austria. Did not dissapoint (I think they didn't believe me when I said there would be a fuckload of roos).

planned training at ANU. felt like utter shizenhauzen so pulled the pin.
If I were in an X-wing and Darth Vader chasing me down in a Tie-fighter, he'd say "the sleep deprivation is strong with this one"
