25-manna korten. middle distance race on other part of map.
interesting mixture of terrain, with some real nice bits and some fairly boring bits.
another cold day, another totally unfocussed run. except for when thierry came past me (who started 2 minutes after me). that was fun.
don't like how one shade of green can just be completely different terrains here.

flew in late last night for the 25-manna! was real excited although not feeling crash hot.
wanted to have a safe race but the change over was way more chaotic that i expected and didn't have much composure. plenty of mistakes but the team was happy with their german/aussie import ;)
hard hit to the knee late in the race gonna need some attention (but in the end was ok-ish).
first time for me doing one of the classic relays which was cool. just feeling so burnt out. I've been trying to do as much orienteering as i can justify before winter comes, but it's been bloody tiring.

really enjoyable ride out to the UNESCO site Reichenau, an island now connected to the mainland. lots of farms and stuff, mainly grapes and apples (in abundance around here). very nice.
autumn in full swing now. the plant scientist in me can't help but see the order in which the leaves turn yellow/red for each species.

tough session, finally breaking away from my hill reps. 6(3/1min) on undulating tracks. first proper intervals in a very long time. feeling mechanically better all the time, injuries and running form etc. but a very long way to go to be where i want to be. luckily i've got all winter.
