Half Marathon training started today - there are 5 of us and I hope that it doesn't drop off too significantly. Erica and I did one full lap of the playing fields and then one shorter loop of the playing fields. The others just did the one loop. Sal was particularly dishearted because it was a bit of a hill but she loved being part of a running group so I hope that keeps her coming.

3 x 400m, 100 rec, 3 x 800m, 200m rec, 3 x 400m, 100 rec. As you can see from my times I really struggled with the last 400's. Sweating like a pig, and really hot. So glad it is Friday, I am very tired.

Home to USP and back but finished with a lap around the Mormon temple. Nice evening, no dogs and only one hey baby (well one dog but it's owner scared it away before it got too close to me - I did have my stick ready though). I enjoyed it.

Lunch time boxing at work. It's been a while, I am very sore today (Friday). Only 4 people turned up including Aaron and Peni who went really hard at the start and called it a day very early. I paired with Posa so luckily I didn't have to field any of Aaron's hits.

Aggies - Airport Cross Island Road - Falease'ela - back to Aggies past Manono and the ferry terminal. The guys we rode with are training for a round the island ride. They all work for the Aus Government so are making a fortune by just being here which means it's done in style but I can't afford to go with them every week... nice weekend though.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Short course at the Sand Dune map that we ran on a few times at the training camp.

Been in NZ for a week, running sprint the bay which was awesome, walking the Tangariro Alpine Crossing and then a few days training on Sand Dunes. Fun week, hopefully I am a bit fitter than when I left...

Went to spin class at lunchtime but all the bikes were taken so I tried to follow the spin instructions on the treadmill, was quite fun though I was a bit nervous about falling off the back so didnt go super hard. Also good to check that I can actually run for half an hour - that means I will get through at least the first sprint in NZ.

Had a bit of a tanty at the Samoaness of my life this afternoon - power kept going off, no hot water, everything late or broken, no cheese or anything I want to eat....whinge, whinge. Decided paddling would be great to remind myself why I like here. It did, lots of fish and beautiful water but I was a bit unco on the strokes today.
