Cam is away but Erica, Nicole and I still went down to the track for some training though we did no drills and no stretches so it was nothing like bilbies. 3 lap warm up, 2 lap warm down.

3 x 1k, it has been a while since I have done intervals and I also didn't have much time. 200m recoveries. 4.05, 3.57, 4.08, I was very shocked with my times, I thought I would be much much much slower but I guess it is easy when you only do 3. Nice morning too, though dark at 7am, lucky daylight savings ends on the weekend.

Lots of girls today so only got half a game - played center though so a bit of workout.

The whole of Samoa had no internet today because (apparently, this might be a nasty rumour) a ship hit the deep sea cable that brings it to us. How does a ship get anywhere near such a cable? And why isn't it strong enough to put up with that? So had a day of reading and waiting while they said it would be fixed soon ever hour from 8am. It was fixed at 5pm, which is impressive really. My bike at spin was broken, it adjusted itself without me touching the dial, sometime up sometimes down, and squeaked while it was doing so the guy keep spraying me and the bike with UD40 while I was trying to ride. Also did a few arm weights and core exercises to kill time before netball.

Pouring - and it has been all week - so Dad and I bailed on going up Mt Vaea because it is very slippery even on sunny days. We did a lap of the playing fields from home. Todd did not get out of bed, I think he ate a dodgy pineapple pie yesterday.

Note

On Thursday, Dad, Todd and I headed over to Savaii to hike up Mt Silisili, Samoa's highest mountain. It's only 1850m, but we walked from about 150-200m so a fair climb and pretty steep. Also had to carry water so my bag was heavy. On day one we got most of the way up and then the final pinch and back down the next day, Saturday. Sore quads and calves today! Nice climb and great to do something away from beaches.

Mt Vaea with Dad - time is a guess because none of us had a watch. Todd walked up the short way. Very slippery and a few new trees over the track but cool weather so nice to be out. Dad and Todd went for a swim after in the waterhole but I though it was too cold to swim, it must be 28 degrees.

Run in Namadgi National park with Phoebe, Jose, Ria and Ben. Really fun, we saw some rock art, lots of kangaroos, nice views, blackberries and a dingo.

15 minutes on rower and usual exercises, a bit bored today.

Hash - Paul set the course and talked me into at 4pm. It was awesome, we went up a river to a waterfall and then climbed up a rope to get out and back through a village that I didn't know existed even though it is across the rd from work (not much running involved in any of that). And Bruce and Ann catered so the food was awesome, currys and choc chip cockies. The hanging around really dragged on and I was cold, and then the circle went for ages and ages but over all worth it I think.

Home to the other cross island road through the back of lotopa and alesia, down that cross island rd to the airport rd and home. A bit of an adventure of a few roads I havent been on before, nice day, saw some turtles, hot by the end.

G'Day Samoa Fun Run - I was sick yesterday and still not great today so no warm up except for Zumba and no warm down. Weirdly, running is the most comfortable I have felt all day.
