Pretty bad head cold. I took a 2 hour afternoon nap. I wanted to go to McFarlan tomorrow because I am off work, but I will have to wait and see how I feel tomorrow. The kids are in school tomorrow due to snow day make-up.

8.1k actual straight line distance. Not a great orienteering day...again. I debated running today because of not feeling well, but of course I ran. I didn't feel that bad until about 30 min. left, and I got more tired than usual and noticeably hungry and cold. I felt like I ran well on the running legs, but really struggled with my fine orienteering. I tried to practice taking direct routes and it got me in some trouble because of all of the green subtle control areas. Of course I had fun, but we'll see how much I pay for it tomorrow and next week...

No time to exercise due to last minute game schedules, and an extra long work appointment. I woke up this morning, feeling like I had been hit by a train. I am afraid I am fighting a cold. Zicam here I come! Hopefully, I will be wise tomorrow if I am feeling far as orienteering,... or I will feel clearly better. But, if history is any indication, if I go... I will race.

Last minute trail run...trying to make up for missing yesterday's planned run. Nice weather, able to wear shorts, even at 5 PM. RHR was taken in the car right before I ran. Sunny and wind, and very beautiful in the woods, a lot new blow down from last nights wind storm...since last time I ran out here. No new prints, so I think I was the first one out since the storm. I tweaked my left ankle and my left knee was a little touchy. Hopefully I will recover by Saturday's O race at Possum Creek. Because of kid's schedules, Heidi was on her own...much to her chagrin...I reminded her she didn't really like sloppy far as she knows...

Intended to run an hour on trails but heavy rain (when I was able to run) and a lack of time pushed me towards my strengthening exercises instead. I am quite positive the next time I get to run it will be much colder than it was today!

RHR was right before my run; w/Heidi. Rain. I was really sore and tired, probably from running an hour on the road two days in a row, after all the climb on Saturday.

Ran with Heidi and due to time constraints (Petr had Club training), we had to shorten the run by a mile. We also were slowed down in the last mile by a 73 year old runner and his wife on her bike. I told him he was a great inspiration. We had a nice chat, but Petr was too late for training...oh well, its a good thing he was still sick. Hey, 60 deg. I got to wear shorts and short sleeves:) Spring is in the air...perhaps...or...

75m strides, walk back 6-7 times. Nice weather allowed me begin building my barefoot form again and strengthen my plantar fasciitis. I look forward to building up again to easy days completely barefoot around the yard, and neighbor's field.
