Ran with Parker on his first orange course to encourage him to move up to orange. He really is ready and I think won the orange for the day.

I made two pretty good errors, the first was control #2, where I under ran the control, had to double back around and attack it from the field. I think I lost at least 5-8 min. on that control because it was so green, and I didn't adjust well. The other mistake was to hit #11 before #10 and had to go back to #11 but it didn't kill my time. I also missed a spike on #12 which I had visited on orange already...go figure. My feet were numb for some reason most of the race, I could only guess I tied my shoes too tight. Great day to orienteer...

Ran with first and last 800m with VFF to warm up and cool down. My feet were pretty tender after I finished, and it felt really good to throw on the VFF to finsh, my pace was definitely faster slightly shod as well. I am still considering whether to sign up for the Miamisburg Turkey Trot and run the race in my Five Fingers or not...

I decided to use my heart rate monitor for a check and my HR is running pretty high for an easy Steady State run, but it was my first "faster" barefoot run. Slowly getter faster and stronger and feeling the ground clearer each run...it's a fun new challenge...for now...

My first run start to finish barefoot on pavement/concrete. I ran mostly on side walks which are much rougher than you realize when wearing shoes. I was waiting on Petr to finish soccer training, and went for a local neighborhood run in the dark (at least I didn't get any "are you nuts" looks because it was dark! I really took my time and didn't feel that well today so took it really slow, and actually felt better after my run...one more running experiment...
