Note

No time for training today and I have a slight discomfort in my foot that needs a day or two of rest, which may be quite difficult

If running was music this was classical jazz! An awesome run for my first barefoot trail run. I absolutely loved it!

For some reason my feet felt really tender once I hit the road. It may be because the road was pretty hot, which seemed to break my feet down sooner. I slowed up a lot and just struggled to get into a good groove. I finished up the last mile around the field which was really rough...and slow. The ground is really hard and rough for the second week in April. The old corn cobs don't help either:)

I think I am going to ditch the HR monitor. It seems to divert my attention to enjoying my run. It is too easy to focus on some relative performance.

Very easy run, with too little time...very relaxing nonetheless. My left top of my foot hurt after the run from the very uneven hard ground (underneath the plush green grass). Very deceiving...man made roads are much easier to run on...

Surprised by my recovery from the weekend, and really wanted to go out for a decent run, and my pace was pretty...especially from the recent volume in the woods the last few days. I really enjoy barefoot running, and really don't remember a time when my recovery was a s good as it is currently, but then again, maybe it is my mostly vegan diet...?
