paddle long 2:16:27 [3] 20.21 km (6:45 / km)
shoes: Fenn XT

Felt too tired to run yesterday morning, got held up at work, so didn't get out for a paddle in the afternoon, then had some family dramas in the evening, so was late to bed and couldn't face an early morning run this morning. This was followed by a day at work on school open day duty, before finally getting out for a paddle just before 8pm.

My back is still not 100% from a couple of weeks ago, but obviously paddling uses different muscles as it caused no dramas today. Given the missed sessions above, and the fact that I had missed an ocean paddle again, decided to just go for distance tonight.

Thought I may have made a bad error when my lower back started getting really sore around the 6km mark, but pushed on. It was on the right side, which is very unusual for me so I hoped that if I could get it stretched out properly it would be OK. Finally stopped at the turn around at UWA boatshed and had a good stretch, and no issues at all on the return journey (blister on ring finger, but back was good)

Happy to have done it, but not sure where the run is going to fit tomorrow. Too late now to imagine myself getting up for an early morning effort...

Windtrainer 57:00 [4]
shoes: Avanti Blade

(5:2)x7 Legs felt unusually crap after yesterday, so never really got going, but managed to keep working solidly through the whole thing.

7 AM

cycle (commute) 58:30 [3] 29.0 km (2:01 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

A little chilly, but nice and still. Legs warmed to the task and got going a bit better in the second half.
4 PM

cycle (commute) 1:05:40 [3] 29.0 km (2:16 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Felt alright. Connolly Driver and Marmion Ave tend to act a bit like wind tunnels, so was hard work, particularly for the first half.

run 30:00 [5] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Kswiss somethings

SAS Sandhills for the firs ttime in a long time

3 x short doubles, 2 minutes rest, then a long break and one single
45, 47
46, 53
51, 56
45

Can't believe how hard it was. Probably started a bit hard, forgetting a bit how much a short effort can hurt. Blowouts in time were pretty special.
