Still not enough sleep last night, but dragged my sorry backside out of bed and got running just before 6. Laving lots of extra rest days may not help fitness, but it (in the short term) makes the sessions you do seem a bit less painful. Got going OK after the first km and felt pretty comfortable till the 2hr mark where I started to fade a little.
Reasonable end to a crap week. Hopefully an early noght tonight will get me back on track.

Some semblance of motivation. Enough to get out of bed anyway. Not enough to do intervals, but I s'pose that's probably a sign that the last couple of days have been fatigue related.
Took a while to get into today's easy run, but the second half was enjoyable. Had a chat of a km or so on the Budjara-whatever trail with a MTBer and occasional AR type (Mark?) who worked at the local fire station. Told him about hte Boundless events (spotter's fee??) so will see if he turns up.
Was a little quicker on the return journey and felt really good. Probably because of the tailwind for the last 3.5km :)
Motivation... motivation. Where art thou, motivation???
Blah. 2nd day of not getting out of bed for training (and not making up the session in the evening. Bit more sleep tonight will hop0efully get me out tomorrow...

Short warm-up, the terrain loops. 2 x double laps with 3 min recoveries, then one single. Double laps with 2nd lap faster. Last lap fast.
Not quite to plan. First 4 laps were right, but was so stuffed after no. 4 that the first half of the last lap was a mental and physical fail, as I backed off a lot, before picking it up again just before the hill up to the oval and finishing strongly.

It hurt like hell for most of the hard laps and really wasn't much fun, but I know it's exactly the type of training that I need to do more of in order to start getting orienteering fit. Very different to getting into a rhythm for a flat run.
