Last chance for a paddle before dying next weekend. The only part of my training that has been anything like planned is the taper that I find myself in the middle of. Don't know what it is exactly that I'm tapering from, but I should be pretty fresh next weekend.
Shortly after starting I spent a little bit trying to help a guy who couldn't swim get his fishing net spread out into the middle of the river.
Tired to work nits of this paddle a bit harder than normal, but felt pretty dead for most of the second half.

Seeing as my legs are usually dead at the end of a paddle, I chucked my ski back on the roof, pulled out the MTB and went for a blast around the Greenough River walk trail. Surprised how muddy it was in the second half, and had ti ride through some water coming back across the river mouth.
Nice also to actually ride a bike, rather than just a windtrainer. Felt better than I expected.
