Summer hit today. Max of 38 degrees.
Even thought it had cooled down to 30 by the time I went running, I still chose to drive to the Bluff Point foreshore in hte hope it would be a bit cooler. Didn't feel to bad until I turned to run the last 10 minutes with a tailwind.
Shouldn't ever wear my dark blue hat when it is hot. It is an absolute head cooker.
Left calf/achilles, right hamstring not perfect, but not bad. Pretty enjoyable other than being stopped by an aboriginal family who each took turns in trying to convince me that the other one was trying to kill them and to call the police. They clearly weren't, so I can only assume the plan was to grab the phone that I wasn't carrying.
Looked at rogaine and ultra dates for 2018 today to try to inspire myself to train. Not sure if it will work. State chamos and one of the unltras are on the first weekend of the mid year break though, so I guess it is a possibility.
Not much structure, not much intensity, probably not much point, but at least it got the heart rate up for a little bit, hasn't made anything sore. That's pretty successful at the moment.
Pretty warm in the shed.
