Starting to get hot spots from wearing my orthotics again after a break, so ran without in different shoes today. Achilles weren't entirely happy with the change, but glad not to have blisters.
Longest run in ages. Didn't look at my watch at all, and if felt really slow, but manageable. Turns out it wasn't as slow as I thought, so things must be heading in the right direction.

Largely a wander along the and tracks near the water treatment plant, including a random bit on some smaller trails I haven't been on before. I ended up roughly where I guessed they would take me and did the last bit on the road.

I can't be bothered looking for confirmation, but I think I only ran before work about 3 times last year.

This morning was number 1 for 2018. Hopefully the first of many.
Took a little while to get going, but ended up being quite enjoyable, with a light misty rain falling for much of it. Soaked by the time I got home, but it was warm enough to be appreciated.

First day since school broke up lat year that I put orthotics in my shoes, both for running and the rest of the day. Unsure if it made much difference other than making me feel unco when running.

This felt slow and hard, which is what I deserve after putting this off from Sunday morning and ending up with a warm, humid afternoon. Turns out it wasn't as slow as I thought it was, so I'm not as upset about how hard it felt.
