So, after making it through last weekend seemingly unscathed, things were looking up. Then on Wednesday afternoon, I was dumb enough to kick a football with a Year 8 class. Just one kick, but that was enough to feel something behind my knee again.

My calves were pretty shot to bits after starting my running comeback with 2 trail races, so I hadn't really been in a position to try running again earlier than today anyway.

The first few hundred metres were fine, but both calves seized up and I started to feel some discomfort behind my knee. Stopped and stretched at 1km, then turned around and headed for home, just in case, figuring that I could continue in the other direction if things came good.. Turned out to be a good move. Calves got sore again very quickly and behind the knee was getting worse, so stopped at home and set about being depressed.
