| Short steep walk to start with from where the 4WD track got too steep and lumpy to continue driving. No track to speak of so was a matter of weaving trhough the spinifex and going roughly upwards. Windy, but a nice mid-20s temperature. Had a great view over Mt Whaleback mining stuff and everywhere really. |

| Various wanders down into the gorges and back up again. Lots of people here, especially compared to the drive from Mt Augustus northwards through Ashburton Station where we saw 4 vehicles in roughly 6hrs of slow gravel roads! |
