Solo ride (with Milo) on the gen 3 RM Instinct (RM demo was in town). The steep seat angle certainly seemed to put me in a good climbing position (certainly better than some other rental bikes I've been on lately). I think I'd put a longer stem on the bike though... climbing was fine though it seemed like more upper body work to keep the wheel tracking. I don't see how you avoid the feeling of front wheel flopping side to side while climbing with modern slack bikes (and with heavier tires/wheels pulling it back takes some efffort). I can certainly see the benefit for high speed and descending but there are drawbacks. In any case this bike was OK for Mcpherson unlike the Megatower I rode a few years ago.
