Classic ski 2:00:00 [2] 22.5 km (5:20 / km) +500m 4:48 / km

Big loop with Courtney and Juliann - Bridle Path and to the summit via Paradise then down Aberdeen. Nice climb which for the most part is not too steep. Snow conditions were not super fast especially once the snow started again. Ran into Danny near the top and then Seani who joined us for the finish on Aberdeen and Gold Mountain.

Telemark skiing 15:00 [1]

$10 night skiing at Silver Star. Given it got dark at 6pm there was lots of time to ski in the daylight actually. Although the heavy snow made the visibility rather poor. Manageable if you kept close to the trees. Did 4 laps hitting all the classic black runs off the summit - "Chute", "Face", Show Off". Took a short cut home via xmas bowl. Skiing was nice chopped up powder.

Classic ski 1:00:00 [2] 12.5 km (4:48 / km) +200m 4:27 / km

Easy evening ski at Silver Star. We arrived late in the day so snuck in an hour before sunset. Snow conditions were a little icy as it had been warm in the afternoon and now the temps were dropping. Not bad though and beautiful evening otherwise.

Run 25:00 [2] 4.5 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Brooks Ghost

Easy run with the dog. A little harder footing as the snow was more frozen on the packed trails.

Skate ski 1:00:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (30:00 @4) 16.0 km (3:45 / km) +250m 3:29 / km

Nordic twoonie race - warm up on Mickey's, two laps of the race course and then cool down on part of Mickey's picking up some signs. All the younger kids seeded themselves in front of me on the start so wasted some time trying to navigate traffic on the first hill. Managed to settle into 3rd at the top behind Brendan. Eric was off the front and never saw him again. Brendan and I took turns leading. Perhaps we were a little complacent not pushing the pace as the three nordic club girls caught us at Evelyn's on the last lap. I tried to stay with them but slightly slower skis and not enough speed to stay with their young legs. Brendan faded a bit finishing a minute behind. 29 minutes and change.

Classic ski 1:00:00 intensity: (25:00 @1) + (35:00 @2) 12.0 km (5:00 / km) +200m 4:37 / km

A tale of two skis - first part was rather slow and choppy and second was more steady. The dog was annoying today as constantly 100m behind me and then acting weird running after other skiers as if he was looking for Courtney or something. Snow was a little snow and the grooming was a not the best. Felt like the waxless skis were really noticeable today although later had faster skis than the nordic kids on their skate skis so maybe it wasn't that bad...

Note
weight:84.8kg

Wow my weight has really dropped too (5kg). This means I might be able to fit into those Salmon capris I bought that Courtney said were too tight but feel so comfortable... ;)

Run 25:00 [2] 5.0 km (5:00 / km) +50m 4:46 / km
shoes: Brooks Ghost

Easy run on the greenbelt with the dog. The trail along the river was packed nicely. First run of the year!
