Hike 40:00 [1] 5.0 km (8:00 / km) +75m 7:27 / km
shoes: Brooks Ghost

A hike around Cap Antibes. Thought about running but a narrow trail with a wide variety of walkers on it is not the most conducive to running. Nice scenery though hard to see all the fancy villas due to the walls around the properties. Surprisingly warm and sweaty. Our drive there was quite reasonable in terms of traffic but looked like it would have been a lot slower later in the day. Good to visit here but I'm looking forward to some quieter regions once we leave Nice.

Bike 2:00:00 [2] 44.0 km (22.0 kph) +925m

Another nice ride - this time we drove out of town a bit. The weather was drizzly but it appeared we were heading away from the rain which did in fact turn out to be the case. The ride was a vey nice loop with a scenic climb to G and then onward to another small village before returning through the Gorge de Loups. Quiet roads other than the last section.

Bike 1:30:00 [2] 33.0 km (22.0 kph) +500m

Arrived in France yesterday and have a few days to get organized before heading over to Corsica on Saturday night. We aren't staying in a terribly exciting part of Nice but it is handy for some of the errands we need to take care of and it turned out that it was pretty easy to go for a short ride right from the studio. We had some nice views of the snow covered southern Alps and the suburbs of Nice and climbed to a beautiful village in the hills.

Note

Snow gone from front yard. Thought it might a record year but a lot of warm nights earlier in the month sped the melt up. It seems like an especially late melt on the bike trails though.

Previous years to make it easier to compareā€¦

Bike 1:45:00 [3] 25.0 km (14.3 kph) +500m

First mountain bike ride of the year (and likely no more mountain biking until July). Went out with Brendan which was nice as it seemed like we kept missing each other all winter. Good spin on the road and then River Run/SOB. A bit wet in spots but great to get out. Too much snow on Dog Patch to connect and still snow on the Begbie Falls Road.
