On to the Luberon... I was curious to see what the appeal was about this region as it seems to be commonly mentioned when visiting Provence. Perhaps something to do with the book "A Year in Provence"... interesting to hear so many British accents in the grocery store. We did a big loop today hitting all the main villages in this portion of the Luberon. Lots of vineyards, a few lavender fields, wheat fields, random poppies, fruit trees and some pasture land. Also had a few sections in the scrubland above the valley. Very peaceful and pastoral but still very civilized - can see that appeal for those seeking a rural vacation home. Nothing too amazing in terms of scenery but a nice ride (and nicer than anything similar we can ride in BC). Got very hot in the afternoon.
