Hike 2:30:00 [1] 12.0 km (12:30 / km) +450m 10:32 / km

Sudden weather change today as a cold front moved through. We attempted a morning departure but retreated after a km due to sideways rain and wind moving in. The temperature dropped to 4 degrees temporarily after the front. We hung out in the lodge until after lunch and tried again when the weather looked better. Cloudy but mainly dry - did have a 30 min shower on the way home. Our destination was Honeymoon Lake which required some off trail travel through the meadows. The trails here are less distinct than I expected which is fine. Keeps it interesting but a bit more challenging footing for the less experienced hikers. Not many flowers out yet which is too bad.

Run 1:20:00 [3] 7.0 km (11:26 / km) +500m 8:25 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia Black

Sean and I went out for an extra higher intensity excursion after getting back to the lodge. We ran/speed hiked to Kinbasket peak. Not much trail but easy travel through meadows and open forest. Still cloudy but better than in the afternoon. Nice views from the top. The ski down looks steeper in the summer...

Hike 2:45:00 [1] 11.0 km (15:00 / km) +750m 11:11 / km

Short Sentry trip with Courtney, her parents, Danny, Myra, Sean, Juliann, Neil, Irmgard, Mark and Ginny. Interesting to come to a lodge in the summer. Nice for quick alpine access though much more relaxed pace than in the winter. Having a nice lodge to hang out in is much more important as it is unlikely you'll be out all day. Today was the fly in day - after settling in and making lunch we headed for Sentry Mountain. A nice ridge walk on an intermittent trail. Great views in all directions. Could see Sir Sandford, Columbia Icefields, Sir Donald, Moloch, Sorcerer and many others. Sunny and warm today.

From the Tantrum trailhead to the lower moto trail direct. Was looking for a rogue control which unfortunately the is still MIA. Drizzly and cool again today.

Run 44:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:30 / km)
shoes: Brooks Ghost

Green belt run with Milo. Felt harder than it should have.

Bike 3:00:00 [2] 23.0 km (7.7 kph) +800m
shoes: RM Element

Finally some nice summer weather so heading into the alpine - Keystone with Courtney, Atsuko and Brett. Not as busy as I thought it might be though we did play leap frog with a handful of groups. Nice and green but flowers are not out yet. Such a nice trail even if some sections are starting to get rocky and rooty (while others seem to stay forever smooth). Felt harder than it should at times but lots of stops to regroup.
