Lower Macpherson with Courtney and Milo. Less snow had melted than I expected but the puddles were smaller. Hard work riding through the cutblocks but managed to ride almost everything. Nice to be on the bike still.

Sunnyside and Cartier with Milo. Less snow as always on this side of the valley - completely snow free until 2/3rds of the way up. Not many puddles either... the last 1/3rd had more snow to deal with. Had to walk a few short sections. Cartier was clear. Always a tiring ride as a lot of climbing for the distance.

It has been more seasonal this week which means temperatures slightly above zero and the snow from last Friday is slowly disappearing in town. Checked out SOB and lower Macpherson trails with Milo. For the most part minimal snow patches in the trees and snowy in the open. The 150m of vertical above the valley level are the best.

Short run getting the dog some exercise. Back felt tight and footing was slippery (should have worn spikes) which made for a less enjoyable run.

Monday Nov 16 #

Morning swim with Courtney, Margaret and Rosemary. Pool is open but need to sign up beforehand for hour long slots. We only got 45 minutes this morning as one of the lifeguards didn't show up and had to wait for a replacement. Felt good to be in the water. Classic skiing muscles were sore while kicking but otherwise felt pretty strong for first time swimming in months.

Was heading towards Toaster but the train pulled up right when I got to the crossing so decided to run over to the skate park and back on the greenbelt. A bit sloppy on the trails but runnable.
