Saturday Nov 28 #

9 AM

Backcountry skiing (100eight) 3:00:00 [2] 7.0 km (25:43 / km) +845m 16:02 / km

Gorge with Courtney, Russ, Vikki and Atsuko. Drove in two cars - Atsuko came with us and we wore masks for the drive. Not as busy as I expected - likely the ski hills opening have helped with the crowds. Climbed to the 17km summit and down into Happy Valley. Quite variable in the open areas (often seems to be variable here). Better in the lower trees... back up to the ridge and had a nice break just below the top in the sun. Back down to the car via the SE slopes (avoiding the direct S slopes which were a little moist). Snow quality in the shade was better here than Happy Valley. The trees in the cutblock are getting pretty big but the usual way out still works. Russ was keen on another run but first day out for the girls so called it a day with everyone feeling good.

Thursday Nov 26 #

11 AM

Bike 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (8.0 kph) +400m

Cartier and Sunnyside with Milo. Ran into Neil and Irmgard and had a nice chat. Trail is in great shape for this time of year.

Wednesday Nov 25 #

Strength 30:00 [3]

Wam up then 20 min crossfit WOD (pushups, inchworms, jumping squats, bridges). Finished with shoulder rehab.
12 PM

Run 47:00 [3] 8.5 km (5:32 / km) +20m 5:28 / km
shoes: Salomon Sense Gore tex

Greenbelt run with Milo at a slightly faster pace.

Tuesday Nov 24 #

9 AM

Backcountry skiing (100eight) 3:45:00 [3] 10.0 km (22:30 / km) +1225m 13:57 / km

Met up with Brook and Scott at the Gorge. Good coverage for November - snow was settled so not super deep but acceptable skiing. Usual spots had lots of tracks but 12km drainage delivered with no traffic beyond the upper pitch (as it usually does).

Monday Nov 23 #

11 AM

Run 1:15:00 [3] 9.25 km (8:06 / km) +400m 6:40 / km
shoes: Salomon Sense Gore tex

SOB to Begbie Falls and back. Milo was a bit annoying as multiple times he went chasing something for a few minutes at a time requiring me to wait for him. I guess animals like the snow free parts of the forest too...

Sunday Nov 22 #

12 PM

Bike 1:05:00 [2] 9.0 km (8.3 kph) +520m

Two laps of Haulin Daze with Courtney, Russ and Vikki.
