Running 1:31:00 [3] 17.1 km (5:19 / km) +745m 4:22 / km

Lovely long run on Rob Roy, wth the loop extension to the south. Did it clockwise at Grace's suggestion, which was a fair bit tougher: ~400m climb in the first 4km. Very hot for the first hour and think I'm fighting off a bit of cold - so I suffered a bit on the ups. Clouded over with threatening thunderstorms for the last half hour, which helped. Didn't hang around long at the trig above Banks as the obituary wouldn't have been kind. Saw a brown snake - it was more scared of me (and my stick throwing) than I was of it.

Orienteering 55:00 [3] 8.1 km (6:47 / km) +345m 5:36 / km

Couple of o loops on Isaacs. Good to maintain some familiarity with map and terrain, and enjoyable mincing through the rocks and pines. Grass and prickly things up on the east slope - almost felt like orienteering in England again.

Running 46:00 [3] 9.4 km (4:54 / km) +150m 4:32 / km

Lunch run with Tomas to the Red Hill/Davo saddle and back. Bit of a struggle today: very heavy legs and it was pretty warm.

Running 1:02:00 [4] 13.1 km (4:44 / km) +350m 4:11 / km

Farrer and Isaacs loop with some fartlek-y efforts including 4x hill efforts on the Farrer lump, a bit of an effort along 'the Spine' MTB track on Isaacs (nice) and a longish effort up to Sheaffe trig. Good run.

Orienteering (Majura West Twilight) 31:00 [5] 6.0 km (5:10 / km) +190m 4:28 / km

Overall this was a fun course in some fun terrain, made especially more fun by the vegetation being up so the terrain was much less visible (and runnable) to what it normally is. Unfortunately I had one or two minor issues - some entirely my own fault (poor route execution on #12, overshot #8) and some less so (#3 slightly in the wrong spot/warped map, warped map around #9 and #10) - and then one major issue at #15, which was very much in the wrong spot. Ah well - a good training sesh. Legs got pretty heavy on the big climb mid course, probably due to starting out a touch quick.
Livelox confirmed my suspicions:

Just a short warm-up today. Quite warm out.

Running 37:00 [3] 6.5 km (5:42 / km) +425m 4:17 / km

WFH today so nipped out at lunch to do a couple of Mt Taylors on the steep rocky E and S paths. Tried to dig in a bit and felt fairly strong - time was quite good on the first but nothing special on the second.
