Orienteering race 37:30 [4] 5.6 km (6:42 / km) +200m 5:41 / km

NSW State League at Wingello. Hard to get pumped given the drive, the wind and minding poorly girls in the car before the start. Enjoyed my time in the forest though, which was mainly runnable and had some nice rock features. My nav could have been a bit better, although the rounded contours and little else to go off (on the map rather than the ground) made it hard to be precise. I think the map was wrong on a number of the control sites and at least three of them were hung in the wrong spot - so that didn't help. A race not to read too much into. Did enjoy it though and was ok physically - apart from the cough developing.

Decided to pack in the plan of a weekend at Bundanoon due to our various illnesses, but at least it means I can watch the quarter final at home... which was well worth staying up for.

Bit of a mixed grill HFW, including a touch of night-o on Red Hill. Went ok but quite dithery.

Up at 4am to watch England v Colombia - Dier's winning penalty was just in time for me to shoot off and meet the lads for the usual run in with a bit of a spring in my step. Cracking cold sunny morning: -2 most of the way.
