I'm having a staycation with the girls while Grace is over in WA. Interestingly, this is the first Easter since 1993 that I've not been orienteering - 25 in a row, which was 16 JKs, 7 Australian Easters, 1 NZ Oceania and 1 French 3-days (2001, foot and mouth in the UK). So it is interesting for me to see what normal people do at Easter. Judging by today, not a lot - at least in Canberra. Hadn't realised the supermarkets would be closed - very odd. Even the swimming pool was closed. Questacon was about the only thing open and so unsurprisingly was packed. Anyway, in the afternoon we went to Pearce oval and I did some laps of the rugby field (including 8x1min efforts) while the girls played on the slide.

Last chance to do a proper run for a number of days, so I got out early for a decent lap of Isaacs and Farrer. Really enjoyed it once I got going - a little bit of stiffness but was feeling reasonably fit and fresh, and it was a beautiful sunrise as I merrily skipped along the top of Isaacs.

Usual Southside Train into work with Brad, Jacob and Alan. Cool but a bit cloudy. Felt pretty good. Crazy hectic day at work after, but now have 11 days off :)

Steady run to work via Mugga and Red Hill listening to Inside Running. Felt pretty good.

Usual Monday run. Unsurprisingly stiff and heavy to begin with but it eased off once I got going and I ended up running the same time for the loop as normal.
