Took the girls up to Cypress Pine lookout on Tennent in the morning, which was quite tiring. Also a few sores (hip/groin) from yesterday. So just an easy loop around Oakey Hill listening to the podcast. Hoping to string together a decent 5 weeks training before the French 5 days.

Had a morning out at Tidbinbilla, then Grace dropped me at Fadden Pines on the way home. I did a good hilly long run over the tops of Wanniassa, Isaacs, Farrer, Taylor and Oakey. Not feeling fast but hit a very sustainable pace quite nicely and the hills felt fine. Got a bit achy towards the end but kept a decent pace going as I wanted to claw back past my 5mpk ghost who had left me from the very start.

Tempo lap of the East Basin pushing Daisy in the pram. These are actually quite good sessions - I think the resistance makes it a bit like running up a gradual hill the whole way. Daisy fell asleep as usual - maybe next week I’ll take the opportunity to make this into a long run. Anyway, it was my birthday and the main point of this run was to earn the full English breakfast that followed.

IW - short way on my own. Some residual tightness but felt pretty good really.
