Running 53:00 [3] 11.0 km (4:49 / km) +140m 4:32 / km

A shuffle on flattish bike paths to bank yet another 70km week - this one done the hard way. Felt pretty garbage but probably a bit better than expected.

Rogaining 3:02:00 [3] 23.4 km (7:47 / km) +940m 6:29 / km

A very local 3hr rogaine on Wanniassa/Isaacs. Took Tim from work/intervals on his first rogaine - he did a lot better than me! It was really hot but fortunately clouded over just before the start. I took a lot of water and a few gels. We planned a route that tried to clear the course. This turned out to be our major downfall - lots of inefficient dog legs and gratuitous climbs. After 2 hrs and at the furthest part of the course I was completely rooted, which meant we had to beeline back to the hash house - yet more inefficiency, especially considering the stop to buy a coke at Isaacs IGA. Got back to the hash house 15 minutes late - 150 points lost. I was suffering pretty badly at the finish and couldn't stomach any food. So all up Tim had a good lesson in how not to rogaine. I was quite disappointed in how badly I bonked - it seems to hit me pretty bad when it hits.

Running 49:00 [3] 9.6 km (5:06 / km) +120m 4:48 / km

Morning jog on Isaacs. A bit better than yesterday but tired quickly and HR through the roof again.

Running 56:00 [3] 10.6 km (5:17 / km) +190m 4:51 / km

Early jog around the ridges - lovely route on a lovely morning. Felt awful though - still really drained from yesterday, plus I twinged my hammy and I am super tight and inflexible.

Orienteering 43:00 [3] 5.6 km (7:41 / km) +180m 6:37 / km

Twilight orienteering at Mt Ainslie north. Picked this as potentially a good one to make an effort to come to (requires work juggling and moving intervals around etc). Big mistake. Horrible course through horrible terrain with horribly hung controls on a horribly warm evening with horrible logistics and requiring catching back up on work until horribly late. Body got battered by it all and I felt horrible too. All in all horrible and left me wondering what's the point. And Grace beat me. Apart from that, was fun :)

Running warm up/down 4:00 [2] 0.7 km (5:43 / km) +40m 4:27 / km

Running intervals 19:00 [5] 5.1 km (3:44 / km) +100m 3:24 / km

Cadence intervals - back to the Tuesday sesh (as planning on orienteering tomorrow evening), which meant a 6:30am start, which I'm not particularly a fan of, especially when it comes to intervals. 6*850m reps with a gradual up, some flat and a steep down - made for quite a fast session. Kept it fairly consistent despite getting tired - and the pace was alright.

Running 24:00 [2] 4.0 km (6:00 / km) +90m 5:24 / km
