Running 1:13:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:37 / km) +470m 4:45 / km

After a morning swim at the sea pool in Ulladulla we went to Pretty Beach whereupon we discovered that the new 34km walking trail to Maloney's Beach was completed and all but ready to 'open'. So I ran the first ~6km of it along the coast - path was all cut, with various boardwalks and steps but they hadn't done the signage yet. Still, it was pretty easy to find. Awesome route using some beaches but going up onto the heath to avoid the rocky ledges and giving great views - I will have to try the full route one day. Anyway at that point I took the now overgrown bush track to the top of Mt Durras which was a bit of a struggle in the hot humid rainforest. Saw a snake and some leaches. And then a nice cruise down back to the beach and straight into the sea with the kids. Nice.

Running 43:00 [3] 8.9 km (4:50 / km) +140m 4:29 / km

In Ulladulla for the weekend. Busy day of beaches, pools, ice creams, walks etc. - and so I knew I should bank the run early even though I wasn't feeling like it. Nice morning though and felt alright once I got going. Most just on straight roads but one section of nice trail through the bush.

Running 46:00 [3] 9.1 km (5:03 / km) +170m 4:37 / km

V early jog on Taylor and Farrer - so early it was still dark to begin with. Once the usual sorenesses had worn off I actually felt not too bad. Need to get back into a few sessions again soon.

Running 58:00 [3] 10.5 km (5:31 / km) +280m 4:52 / km

Early jog on Blackie before heading into the office. Wasn't up for intervals so was glad to get the message from John that he would be away. Super stiff and sore to begin with but it gradually eased off. Nice trails I hadn't been on for a while and enjoyed the IRP recap of the world cross countries.

Orienteering 31:00 [4] 5.4 km (5:44 / km) +170m 4:58 / km

Twilight at Mt Mugga. Was in two minds about this after last week's debacle but it turned out ok. Pleasant course with a few good climbs near the end. Legs feel really clunky (Achilles/hammy/glute) so I have no flexibility and I think it is more tiring trying to run when the handbreaks are on. Felt like I was moving very slowly but I kept going ok. I had a clean run so that was nice.

Running 41:00 [2] 7.5 km (5:28 / km) +110m 5:06 / km

5min warm-up before, and jogged home from the event afterwards - which was nice.

Running 54:00 [3] 10.2 km (5:18 / km) +200m 4:49 / km

Late headtorch loop of Taylor. Haven't run at night for a while so that was a nice novelty and it was a little bit drizzly too, which added to the ambience. Saw a frogmouth and possum.

Running 40:00 [3] 7.8 km (5:08 / km) +150m 4:41 / km

Early jog on Farrer. Still pretty sore.
