Cross country race at Bong State Park....I had the distance wrong in my head and thought it was a bit longer so I did not turn it on soon enough but still did ok...it was great fun!

A very fun race , however slow. First mile, road, 7:10; Second mile; through the woods 7:20; Third mile I felt it and was only 30 seconds behind the lead girl (30 year old) but did not have it in me and finished 10 seconds behind her. A slow course I hope as most said their times were slow. I felt ok given the weekend beating on the trails. A good workout.

I warmed up about a mile, probably should have done more. After the race I felt good so ran 2 more to keep the mosquitos away. I would have done more but it was way too dark tho' there was BEAUTIFUL FULL MOON over Lake Michigan.

held same pace on 10 sec rest as 15...this is a fun workout and can be modified to add more distance as I increase time in water...

Planned this ride when the wind forecast was 4mph...by the time I did the ride we had a hot humid day with wind gusts up to 20 mph, so it was a bit harder than I planned but I actually did ok...rode to LF train station, got water and turned around adding an extra loop with hills at the end. Worked solely on cadence...bet 72(into heavy wind) and 90(wind at my back)....my legs are sore from yesterday so tomorrow I will just swim and stretch.
