Sir Titus Trot marathon. Race plan was around 7.30s but was a bit quicker than that at the start. There was a muddy section from 14 to 19 which slowed me down and sapped more energy. Had a bit of a mental low point from 20 to 23 but got over it well. I was about to shut it down at 24 and jog in but then caught sight of the runner in third and my racing instinct kicked in so sped up a little bit and sneaked past with half a mile to go.

This weekend was the 10in10 training weekend in the Lakes. Unfortunately we couldn't do the full route because of roadworks closing the road on the east side of the lake. So we did an out and back to halfway. I'd forgotten how beautiful the route is. I'd also forgotten how hilly it is. Tough going but consistent splits for the half.
