Orienteering race 1:08:00 [5] **** 13.0 km (5:14 / km)

Jukola 1st Leg. Boring 1st control 4.1km from the start along a forest road. Some technical controls but nothing very testing. Finished in 71st. 4.5 mins down. Not too bad but I just didn't have the pace. Some good runs by OJ and RobB but some dissapointing results from the rest of the team led to us being 70somethingth overall.

Event: Jukola 2009

Jogging around the paths of the Jukola training map with OJ and Duncan. Hot.

Orienteering 45:00 [3] ***** 5.0 km (9:00 / km) +250m 7:12 / km

Drove south from Mikkele and along some dirt roads for 45mins to an area with huge rocks. Did some trains with Chris T and Keith. After the 3rd control I ran pretty well. At the 3rd control I cocked up pretty badly with a huge parallel error.

Event: Forssa Games
 

Orienteering 15:00 [4] **** 2.5 km (6:00 / km) +70m 5:16 / km

Some orienteering on a cute little map to the West of Forssa. After a late morning lolling about in a sunny wood (after my late night forest camping session) thought i'd go for a little run in terrain to test the knee. It was a little stiff, but ok to run -just need to be careful not to bash it. Terrain seemed to be appearing as expected -much better than the last race!

Jog from the map mans house to the local forest and back.

Orienteering race 28:00 [5] **** 5.0 km (5:36 / km) +200m 4:40 / km

Forssa Games. Started well but then missed the 2nd and 6th controls quite badly. Lost lots of time so ended up mid-field. When I was navigating and concentrating it went quite well.

To and from and to the start and a little warm down.

On roads gently to test the knee -really quite sore... Terminator Salvation is good!
