Run 40:00 [3]

Out around the single track at the back of Little Bendigo school. The entire area is now covered in tracks and jumps, which has ruined a good area. If the area was re-mapped, all you would see on the map would be tracks.

Riding- Road 57:00 [3] 24.78 km (2:18 / km)

Very busy at work today, but not quite as mental as yesterday. Almost an hour on the bike was the best I could manage.

Run 25:00 [3]

Feeling crap again. Hopefully the weekend will be a bit better. Still pretty disapointed I won't be able to make it to the Hageby. Will hopefully be all systems go for next weekend though...

Run 20:00 [3]

Felt absolutely shite today. Lasted about 10 minutes before I was ready to give up.

Run 1:01:00 [3]

Running tour of Brisbane. Had a distinct lack of time over the weekend for any sort of running, but managed to find an hour on Saturday evening to get out. Felt a little strange not being cold, but this is certainly not a complaint. Nice run along the river, and over the bridge (one of many), then up through the north part of the city. Very nice looking out over the river at the city lights in the evening, but it did make the last part of the run a little dark.

Pretty interesting weekend, but it might be interesting backing up a conference with a week of on-call.

Run 30:00 [3]

Short run in between trying to finish reading all of the bloody journal articles, and packing for 3 days in Brisbane, and reading more journal articles.

Orienteering race 41:13 [3] 6.25 km (6:36 / km)

Ballarat Local event at Mt Doran

Took it pretty easy after I got to the second control, only to find there wasn't a control there. Few other controls were either not there or in the wrong spot.

Nice forest out there for a run, and subtle enough to make you think.

Orienteering 25:00 [3]

Ran around one of the shorter courses, and found some more control sites, but no controls.

Lovely sunny day to be out in the forest.

Run 1:00:00 [3]

Left it pretty late in the morning considering how cold it was. Sun was out for the last 30 mins which was nice. Felt resonable while running, which made a nice change from the last few weeks.

Run 32:00 [3]

Not as cold as last night, but seemed to struggle a little more than yesterday.

Looking foward to a weekend with a little less granite.

Run 30:00 [3]

Bitterly cold. At least it wasn't snowing/raining. Little suprised there was no snow today. Hands went numb and was begining to get an ear ache.

Orienteering race 45:46 [5] 5.9 km (7:45 / km) +180m 6:44 / km

Much better today, but this is possibly because I was able to run in a bit of a pack. Stuffed up the second control, allowing Jimbo to catch me, and Bryan caught up on the second loop. Idiotic route choice around the caves left me with a lot of ground to catch up. Lost ground again with another stupid mistake, but somehow managed to get back on the train by the next control. Another error at the second last saw me fall of the train again, but wasn't able to get back on to give it a crack in the sprint finish.

Orienteering race 58:29 [4] 4.9 km (11:56 / km) +145m 10:24 / km

The wettest weather I have run in for quite some time. While it didn't feel to cold out there, it did make the rocks very slippery.

Lost about 30 seconds on number 1, then started to concentrate, and got through the next couple okay. Lost a lot of time on number 6, just wandering around in the circle being unable to see the control. Again, started thinking, but lost a bit of time on 12 and 13, and missed the easy route choice to 14 around the the west, instead fighting through green and fallen timber to timber, which I managed to do on the way to 16 as well.

Completely lost it going to 21, first trying to relocate off the top of the hill in the fog, then finding 23 on my way down to the track.

Would have been resonably happy with this run had I not lost so much time on 21, destroying all hope of a resonable result. Was running pretty well generally, albeit with a few wobbles in the circles, and looking on the wrong side of boulders.

Run 30:00 [3]

Got a little bit wet tonight. Was looking pretty good for a run for the latter part of the evening, but it started to rain almost as soon as I set foot out the door.

Looking foward to running during daylight hours over the weekend

Run 30:00 [3]

Pretty short run after work. Had a bit of a headache all afternoon, and thought the run might do it good, but it didn't.
